Project Description
This project seeks to update the vision, goals, objectives, and policies for their appropriateness given the changes that have occurred since these were developed in 2005, and prepare a Strategic Plan Update. As part of previous Florida Continuous System Planning projects, the Aviation Office of the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) developed a Strategic Plan that established goals and policies related to the development of the statewide aviation system. The latest Strategic Plan, included in the FASP 2025, examined the issues facing Florida and the challenges and opportunities relative to the statewide aviation system. As part of this process, goals and objectives were established, and policies were reviewed to determine how the existing Florida aviation system was performing.
Current Status (as of Monday, February 13, 2012)
The Strategic Plan update is in the final review phase and will be completed by the end of February. The Performance Measures which utilize the goals and objectives from the Strategic Plan update are currently being developed. The Performance Measures program will be completed by the end of June. A PowerPoint presentation will be provided to the CFASPP Statewide Steering committee at their meeting in April, which will highlight the revised goals and objectives within the FASP Strategic Plan update.
